I would take a proper full and complete soundtrack of  "Highlander" over any of these.

I'm really looking forward to Queen II and A Day at the Races. Also Queen (I), and Innuendo in a while...

So yes, I will be buying them. Maybe I'll have a small problem buying A Night at the Opera (because of the 30 years edition), but I'm weak when it comes to anything that's labeled with Queen.

Nope. I'm ULTRABORED of listening to the "same old song and dance, my friend" (quoting Aerosmith!).
Re-re-re-releases with something catchy scattered here and there....
Please, QP, .... stop it!

Not a chance. Buying these will only make QP think that re-releasing crap we've had twelve times over is a winning strategy.

Re: the above, it's kind of a catch 22.  The other potential message of poor sales of a back catalogue to a profit minded record company is that there isn't sufficient interest in the band to dig any deeper.

Hollywood Records (which is the band's label here in the US and north of the border in Canada) won't release these new remasters. They already re-released the first eight albums in the 8-CD box set The Crown Jewels in 1998 with a stellar remastering job and also the mini-LP sleeve which was the perfect touch (though they used an alternate front cover for The Game). Also the back catalog was remastered once already (some with great bonus tracks (Queen I and II, The Works) and some not so great (the rest of the catalog with cheesy rap and techno remixes)).

At the moment, Hollywood is too busy with Miley "Britney Mach II" Cyrus. Once they drop that floosie then they will get back to Queen.

Universal handles the distribution of Hollywood in the US and Canada. I guess the label doesn't want to get rid of Classic Queen and Greatest Hits (maroon sleeve) from its catalog. I say erase them, Stone Cold Greatest and some of the pointless compilations and just have the Gold and Platinum Collections.
