Great commercials

Though I'm usually fairly immune to the manipulative use of small humans to get me to do something, this commercial absolutely slays me.  Maybe it's because my own Darth Vader will be turning 16 next Saturday.  I don't know for sure, but it gets me right smack in the heart every time.  Great job Volkswagen. :)

I'm going to arbitrarily expand "Great Commercials" into "Notable Marketing" as well.  I'm a bit shocked that Levis can actually market men's jeans this way: http://us.levi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10911925 And why is it 'ex-girlfriend' jeans and not 'girlfriend' jeans?  Is it somehow more desirable to wear your ex-girlfriend's pants than it is to wear your girlfriend's pants?  Friendly Hint: Strongly consider doing neither.

Tomorrow night the Stanley Cup will be in the building in Boston.  I get something like shivers when that happens each year. Hardest trophy to win in professional sports, and many think the most beautiful as well. I certainly think so.  I love this commercial, which is running once again these playoffs. And a middling beer commercial, but captures some of the incomparable feeling when hockey fans know the cup is in the building, whether it's destined to be won that night or not. Love and  luck to the Vancouver Canucks tomorrow night.

Hope, faith and belief and all that stuff. :)   Go Canucks. There is a great parody of that wonderful 'No Words' commercial based on some sketchy calls on the Canucks, particularly on a Burrows goal that was called back. It makes me laugh, a lot.

HAHA!  Love it.

The NHL spoof was good too.
