Surprised to hear that one mentioned. Mind you, there are some real surprises on this thread --Drowse? You Take my Breath away?!
If You Can't Beat them has a great-sounding guitar solo. It also sounds great live. See the Paris show on Youtube, for example. Plus it's nice to throw John a bone every now and again.

John wrote You're My Best Friend, I Want To Break Free & Another One Bites The Dust - them are some mighty bones. Too bad You And I never got much recognition.

"and he does sound a bit rough too"
SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!
The man was dying, and your going to criticise his vocal track. Supposedly it was recored 2 weeks before he died! I personally think its a minor miracle he managed to record anything that close to dying especially considering the condition his body was in.
Most people would love to be able to put a vocal track that sounded as rough as that down!!!!!!!!!

The following is a list of songs I usually skip (depends on the mood)
Queen ................................. Jesus Queen II .............................. The Loser In The End, Ogrebattle, See What A Fool I've Been Sheer Heart Attack ............ Stone Cold Crazy A Night at the Opera ..........(voice solo in the Prophet Song), Love Of My Life A Day at the Races ............ White Man News of the World ............. My Melancholy Blues, Get Down Make Love Jazz ....................................... Fun It, More Of That Jazz Flash Gordon ...................... (most of it) The Game ........................... Sail Away Sweet Sister Hot Space ............................Cool Cat The Works ........................... Machines A Kind Of Magic .................. One Year of Love The Miracle .......................... My Baby Does Me Innuendo ...............................The Hit Man Made in Heaven ................... A Winter's Tale, You Don't Fool Me
Well... in average I listen to about 90% of any Queen album. I hear about 80% of any Beatles album.....and 60-70% of any AC/DC, Kiss, Ozzy, The Who, Van Halen, Def Leppard, and White Lion album.
