SSOR - TOTP

Clips were shown at the exhibition, but it looked like some other footage was also added. Quality wasn't too great either but it was all in colour (of sorts). Anyone else see it?

It looked to me like it was a compilation of three BBC performances and one live performance (The Rainbow?). Quality wasn't amazing but there was more colour than I've seen in other versions.

Yes, clips from the three performances of SSOR from Top Of The Pops and from the Rainbow in 74 were used for this compilation.

They could not have the master reel used because they were probably erased by the BBC. So these are copies (private collectors I guess). I've seen the NIH footage and that really blast me right of my chair. What a great new footage.

GT: is this performance taken of the master reel or also a copy?

@Queenman!! I guess that the three TOTP recordings are from off air VHS tapes, or something similar. They definitely didn't look like they were from the master reel. Hopefully the Rainbow performance will have been from a master tape though :)

May someone can record it with their phone or something at the exhibition?

     It's a mix of TOTP 21st February, 1974 Emperor Rosko Performance and 28th March, 1974 Dave Lee Travis Performance 
     But I don't see any Rainbow footage.

Great to know they've got this stuff, but I hope to God if they ever do release it, it's not this edited compilation..each performance should be able to be viewed in full, seperately. Otherwise, we'd just be getting more of the same DoRo style of mash-up editing.

Thanks for clarifying.  But there isn't any Rainbow footage in the 30 second clip uploaded here... so I guess it's pretty sporadic?

Bob there is a little bit of ranbow in the clip shared here!
Look at the 0:12! for me is rainbow (the "real diamonds" gloves are the same)
