The only Led Zeppelin's song that I listened to was Immigrant Song and it was just because Queen performed it in 1986.

Zeppelin are probably the most important band of the 70s.  Do your homework, and it will pay off.  There's plenty of incredible music in there, studio and live.

Couldn't have put it better Sir! I was a Queen fanatic long before I 'discovered' Zeppelin but doing so opened up a whole new world and some incredible musical journeys.

Led Zeppelin is my 2nd favorite band (behind Queen, of course).

Always surprised how many Queen fans slag Zeppelin.  They were just as big an influence on Queen as The Beatles were.

Yeah - the heavy/light thing that Pagey talks about as well as the use of the studio have been a big influence on Queen - and not just on I and II. I can imagine a young BM getting his hands on Led Zep I and going "flippin 'eck - how did he get a Telecaster to sound like that?!?" :-)

Oh - which are your fave Zep albums - right now I'd go for III and Physical Graffiti

I've always liked the idea of Led Zeppelin more than I liked their catalogue itself.  There's songs from all the way through their career that I love dearly (including stuff from before and after they were a band), but at the most I only really dig about a quarter of their entire output.  I love them as performers first and foremost.

Looks like that could be a good app, but will the crappy library music spoil it? I wish I could get that Heartbreaker guitar sound though...

i never really liked LedZep.....i can see how their music is great, but it doesn't make me like it....i do have a few exceptions tho....i like "thank you", "kashmir", "trampled underfoot" "fool in the rain", "carouselambra" and "in the evening"

Well, I love every album from them but I would say that I love the albums from 4 on...that's where they really transfromed into the enigma that made them untouchable gods.

If I had to pick it would be Houses Of The Holy(which contains my favorite Zep song"Song Remains The Same") or In Through The Out Door.

Presence and Physical Graffiti are on their heels.

Heck...I even love Coda.
