Live Album 2011 Remasters - Yes or No???

There has been quite a bit of debate on this site as to what bonus extras will be added to the live albums when they are issued as remasters.

From the newly issued US press release, there is now a carefully added distinction that only the 15 studio albums (up to Made in Heaven) are coming as deluxe editions.  However, I still can't deduce whether his means that the live albums are being remastered but only with the original trackslistings, or that they are missing out on a 2011 master altogether.  Apologies if I have not read something that clearly confirms this, but could anyone, including GB and GT, please confirm which of the following applies;

1) All albums, including live ones, are being issued as single disc with 2011 remastered audio, but the 15 studio albums only are also coming as deluxe editions with approx 5 bonus tracks
OR
2) The live albums are being repackaged for a 2011 reissue, but the audio is not remastered and so is the same master as last time around
OR
3) Only the 15 studio albums are getting remaster releases, and the live albums are not being re-released at all, so the only stock in the shops for the live albums will be the old EMI ones?

As I understand it, live albums won't be back in the shops until 2012 - this year is all about the studio output.

Well, I heard some Live Killers tracks which were part of the Singles Collection boxsets (and I assume they will use the same versions, why remaster twice in such a short period of time?). I'm still not impressed. The mix is what bugs me. There is no live feeling at all. The drums are way too loud (and sound awful, incidentally). Sure, they equalized it more, more bass, more dynamics, but not something to write home about. Release Earls Court instead, I would say.

They should NOT rerelease the live albums but do the following:

- release Earls Court'77 second night (even if only on cd)
- release hammy'75 and hyde park '76
- release hammy'79
- release rainbow '74
^- release Houston'77
- release a live killers documentary and compilation of footage and audio
- release a South-America'1981 documentary and compilation of audio
-release Budapest and Knebworth (with documentary)
- release Rio
- release an audio live anthology with all the audio they can release like:
*UK '78
*UK'84
*any Crazy Tour that might exist
*rare early stuff

- release raw tapes that would otherwise not be heard through the website

that's what they should do:-) If they'd do that the rest of the world could agree with me that Queen is the best live rock band ever ;-)

I agree that that's what they should do, but my question is more does anyone know for a fact what they are doing.....I'm certainly not calling for remasters of the live albums!!

I agree with On My Way Up. 

That's what they would do if they knew what their fans really wanted...or at least a quarter of that.

Re-release of Live Killers with an online code for streaming of up to 5 of the Top 100 bootlegs!!!! YEAH!!! go Queen!
