Yes I was at San Diego too, Brians playing was on absolute fire, I could have bootlegged that show but it was a bit hard from the front row lol

Roger was asked about live work in the QOL interview and said "Watch this space" but I'll beleive it when it happens, always seems Roger is the driver and Brian needs convincing.

I think to let someone else play the drums would be the worst decision you could make, I think no one can play drums to queen songs except for roger, so he should sing and play, if that's impossible any guest singer is better than somebody else playing drums, I think (even though it would be great if it would be a concert with no guest singers and just roger and brian sharing the vocals)

Two kits on stage, worked quite well for Roger's solo tours & The Cross gigs.   Roger up front Singing while say "Rufus" is on kit would be great,  I went to the SAS gig at the 02 London back in January 2009 & Rufus Drummed, while Roger was up front & it worked a treat.  In 2005, would have rather had a 2nd drummer on kit for both "TATDOOL & RGG" than that bloody drum machine/re-recorded drumming, any day.

But I do know what you mean,  Roger's a bloody good drummer & singing from behind the kit was great in 2008.

I'd be happy to put her in my cellar. In her birthdaysuite of course.

if they dont want to do a big tour maybe they can do one off shows in various countries

i know that probably wont suit a lot of people but the shows or at least one of them may well be released on dvd

I was in San Diego 2006 as well and it was indeed an awesome show.
I saw them in Vienna, Munich, Prague and Leipzig the previous year but the best show was San Diego, by far.
Paul and Brian were both on top form. The crowd cheered BadCo's songs almost as much as they did for Queen's.

I was on the fifth row, on Brian's side, right next to the catwalk, and a friend of mine caught Brian's sixpence at the end of We the Champions. What a night!

I really wish I could hear/see a recording of this show someday.

That would be awesome if a bootleg turned up from San Diego, but I doubt it was ever recorded by anyone to be honest. Security was tighters than a crabs ass in mating season from what I remember, so getting any kind of a recorder in there would have been near impossible...

The Brian, Roger and PR thing didn't work for me, felt like watching a tribute band and I didn't feel the Queen brand should have been used as only half  of Queen were on stage. The only way to see an actual Queen concert would be to do it the way the Elvis Concert Tour has been trvelling the world to great success.
Using the real musicians to play the music (Brian, Roger,  (It would HAVE to be John or it simply wouldn't work) Spike, even Jamie Moses so Brian could really enjoy himself., and of course..........................Freddie, on big video screens.  Most people admit the best part of the Queen+PR concerts was Bo Rap with Freddie sitting at piano.  Each time he appeared on the video screen the crowd went mad!
I have been reliably informed that after 10 mins, people forgot Elvis was not actually on the stage and felt they had seen the real thing. Remember, Elvis footage would not have been nearly as good as the footage that exists of Freddie in concert so could you imagine the effect?  This need not be a one off celebration of the 40th Anniversary but a show that would pack stadiums the world over!!
It's an idea but I have a feeling there has been a big rift between John and the boys. (The fact that not one of his songs appeared on the Deep Cuts album makes me fear there is no chance of a reconcilliation. (Long Away over You and I?.......I mean, c''mon!).
Anyway, here's to getting fleeced for what ever they can get from us this year!

Well, at the end of april ot's Queen's day again in The Netherlands...
I'll be on the Museum Square in Amsterdam waiting for that one-of gig.
I missed it last time, so I take no risks anymore.
We must all see to believe...
