Interpretations are different depending on people, generations and upbringing. I grown up and work in the industry of films. Thats where my interpreitation comes from; the idea that the diegesus is in a film noir like state where flaws exisits and every action has a reaction.

Why would anyone who covers this song be assumed as homosexual? It's not even a homosexual song and the man who originally sang it and wrote it was not even homosexual.
