What a terrible press release.

It repeats the old (probably exaggerated) story about Fred meeting Sid Vicious, highlights Fred's mustache, and lists highlights of their touring history with no mention about what the bonus material will be or specifics about how the albums are being improved.

I'm pretty sure we'll get "AH-AH-capellas". ;)

I was thinking the exact same thing.
Don't shun it!

These five albums were recorded as Queen’s UK stadium success spread to the USA, South America, Europe and Asia and are the sound of a band breaking through the crash barriers of their own limitless ambition.

Also known as 'Three continents and a country'.  I think it was a Hugh Grant vehicle.

All this whinging and crying and gurning and gnashing of teeth....when are you going to realise that this stuff isn't aimed at you?  It's aimed at the up-and-comings...the new converts...the "oh-that-band-I-like-are-influenced-by-some-band-called-Queen" crowd.  It's re-marketing for the new crew.

You wanna wail about something, stick to the Roger-promised-us-box-set-in-1994 whinge.  Nod politely at this stuff and walk on.  FFS.

Somewhat jokingly, here's my prediction for the bonus tracks that'll be on Flash Gordon:

01) Flash (1980 Single Version)
02) The Hero (2011 Instrumental Remix)
03) Flash (1981 Queen Rock Montreal Version)
04) The Hero (1981 Queen Rock Montreal Version)
05) Flash (High Octane Mix)

What I'd love to see is the complete soundtrack album without the movie dialogue throughout as the bonus disc, but I doubt we'll get that.

..partly because half of the music in the film isn't by Queen anyway...

Didn't they play stuff like Vultan's Theme live? Maybe they would include this in addition to the known live Versions of the Hero and Flash. And probably the Version of Flash without the dialogues from the movie...

How about:

News Of The World - complete '77 peel session, WWRY 'Ruined' remix,
Jazz - I Wanna Testify / Turn On The TV, Mustupha accapella
The Game - A Human Body, Now I'm Here (Hammersmith '79)
Flash - The Hero (Live in Japan)
Hot Space - Soul Brother, Staying Power (Live)

As haphazzard as the other ones were, the potential for demos and radio sessions is interesting.

I bet those two will be in. Perhaps "The Hero" from MK instead of Montreal.

Oh!     Actually I LOVE the idea of Roger Taylor's first ever solo single from anyone in the group "I Wanna Testify" being a bonus track on one of the re-releases!!!!    I think it would be GREAT to do that!!

We may all be in for a surprise with the next 10 albums then.
I'm expecting something "special", especially with Flash.... :)

Some LK tracks were part of the Singles Collection and believe me: nothing has been improved. Yes, it's louder, more bass and the like. But it still sounds like merda.

Furthermore, I'm quite sure we will only see like two or three interesting tracks as part of the bonus EPs.
