An interesting pic

If you look at the back flag on the below pic, you'll see it's red.  I checked the flags of all countries in which Queen gave the concerts in 1986 and it matched up only with Swiss and Austrian flags as they're both red and it can't be properly known which one is it as we see only corners of the flag.  In 1986 Queen gave two concerts in Zurich (Switzerland) and two in Vienna (Austria).  It can't be from the first night in Vienna as Freddie was in the pants with red lines and here on the pic he's in the pants with yellow lines.  So it can be from one of the two nights in Zurich of from the second night in Vienna.

Indeed, it could be Leiden, Zurich or Vienna.  If only we could see a bit more of the flag..

I doubt it's the Dutch flag as it seems to have more of the red colour than it's on their flag.

Assuming the colour tone in the pic is correct, it looks like the colour of the Spanish flag.

Spain is not only devided in several autonomous communities (each with it's own flag) it's also devided in several provinces (also each with it's own flag)

The flag seen in the clip is the flag of the community of Catalonia, so it's filmed in Barcelona.

The flag in the first picture could be the flag of the community of Madrid (not the city)

I vote for Switzerland. The Austrian has a white stripe between two red ones (which I can't see in the pic...the white would be visible at the edge) and the Swiss one is a square (!) red flag with a white cross (as opposed to rectangular for most countries other than for example Nepal)...

It's just that the red strip is just small enough that the white for either Holland or Austria could be hidden.  But maybe there is enough red exposed.. ?

I don't think that's our Dutch flag. Or it's rolled up and causes an illusion to look very un-Dutch. Pretty sure it's not.

It can't be the Leiden show on the 19th because in the other pictures, Freddie is wearing trousers with one gold stripe down the middle.

The date we're looking for has Freddie wearing trousers with two outer yellow stripes and one inner red stripe.

Isn't someone in touch with Peter Freestone then? I believe he usually took care of the wardrobe for Freddie.

The flag shown shown during Madrid concert (and probably Marbella) is the spanish flag, confirmed by a friend of mine who was there.

In Barcelona, Catalonia flag was shown, a very considerate gesture for these fans!

BTW.. if anyone has pics from Madrid or Marbella shows.. I've been looking for ages, and no way to find a single one...
