If it was released on Blu-Ray, with the full first night concert, with the second night fully avaible in multicam and with a new audio mix, will you buy it? And what more would you include on this release?

I've sayd a new audio mix because when the DVD was released in 2003, if i remember, the 5.1 mix is an upmix of the stereo mix since, at the time of the release, they didn't have the multis.

But in the Bohemian Rhapsody Rock Band 3 video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhte44glhZo the mix is different. Maybe they do now have the multis. Is that true?

I'd get it if they took that bad 80's flange effect off the guitar. It's not so noticable on Live Magic.

If they can go back to the multi track audio tapes and remix the sound properly (rather than, as you say, upmix from the existing stereo) then yes, I would buy it.  The guitar especially needs thickening up, although I recall a post here years ago saying that Brian was trying out a new set up/effect then which may not be able to be removed (God knows why he'd choose to do it for the first time on a recorded gig though!)

Montreal sounds superb, but I still think that the MK Bowl audio is messy, and not a particulalry great job when they boast about how much work they did on that going back to the master tapes (levelling up the electronic drum sounds to the acoustic drums etc..) - shame after all that the snare sounds poor and the kick has no 'oomph' or clarity.

Not sure if I'd buy it.  Given the quality of the source itself (video instead of film) I don't think there'd be much to gain.  Unless they want to throw on a heap more stuff that we don't have already, I wouldn't be buying it.  At this point in time, I only have eyes for 70's gigs.  And GVH3.  Everything else can just fuck off.

It was filmed on VIDEO, and NOT on FILM => it can't be "properly" transferred to BluRay

Agreed. MK audio is really bad. The guitar, bass and Freddie himself sound ace, the rest is really mediocre. I have always hated the drum sound on this release. The original broadcast is much better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPl0leypC-M

Also, the backing vocals are really low in the mix. You can barely hear Roger during Action This Day and Somebody To Love, for example.

On Rock Montreal the vocals are more balanced and the overal sound is much better. It still misses a certain live feeling, though.

Is this mix of Wembley really new? I haven't listened to it for a while.

It's one thing i forgot to add in my first post.

I know it's video, but with an Blu-Ray release, it will have far higher bitrate. By the time the DVD was released, big LCD's were not widely available. Now if someone watches the DVD in a LCD, the low bitrate that the DVD is encoded (rarely going beyond 2,5Mbps) is very noticeable (very pixellated), even in LCD pc monitors.

So my thought about a possible Wembley Blu-Ray:

1- Far higher image bitrate
2- Full first night
3- Full second night in multicam
4- New audio remixed from multitracks (if they have them)
5- Search the vaults and make a comprehensive full length documentary about the Magic Tour, not just Wembley.

What more would you add to this? I just want to hear your ideas. Of course i'm also waiting for 70's concerts on DVD and GVH3, i'm just curious about what more could be done for an hypothetical Wembley Blu-Ray release.

Despite what you say, you ARE GOFLB, as only he would talk like that.

In answer to the question, it probably wouldn't look any better so no, I wouldn't buy it.

Well, sorry if you're not - it's just that he is the only person on planet earth who would say "what a fuck....want concerts '70s", and you've only just appeared shortly after he was deleted.  I'm not convinced....

Idiots...

Anyway, I wouldn't buy it because as others have pointed out, it was filmed on video, so only artificial enhancement could make it bigger and it would still be 4:3.
