Hi

To anyone who could know the answer.

How could I determine if the vinyl copy I have of the Jazz album (the one with the poster) is the original from 1978?

did you mean the UK Release? the catalog number is EMA 788

I mean the US release, as I don't think the UK one had the poster

the catalog number of the original US Release from 1978 is 6 E - 166 (Elektra Label)
The UK 1ST pressing was complete with poster.
