take the.s.o.s. band,no not spike but the 70s band(JUST BE GOOD TO ME).
or mr big,,,,,,70s again(romeo).
i imagine there must be a few more if anyone knows..

The pre-Kiss band, Wicked Lester, was called Rainbow until they got into the recording studio & discoverred there was already another Rainbow!

Black Sabbath was originally called Earth, which was the name of a different band
