audio expert question concerning SHM-cd

Hi there,

I just bought the remasters here in Holland. I like the new remastering. But is it worth , soundquality wise, to buy them on SHM-cd's from japan ?

Can someone tell me in understandeble language what the extra thing is on a SHM cd comparred to the ones I bought ?

It seems that the plastic used to manufacture these CDs is different to that of regular CDs. But I think the general opinion is that there is no improvement on sound quality (when compared to regular CDs).
