Which songs by Queen, no matter how many times you've listened to them, still give you goosebumps when they come on? Whether it's because it just happens to be your favourite song, or it has a touching line or even an awesome riff, which ones spark that moment for you? For me, I just read Stelios' thread about "Don't Try So Hard", just thinking about that track did it. White Queen tends too as well, for me.

Father to Son has to be one of them. Just a ton of family drama with much uncomfortable relevance:P The sanctity and reverence in which one's raised to hold the family. But it gets to be too much sometimes. It has that grand feel of generational duty unto each other, plus the accompanying weight and resentment...all of which is too painful to talk about LOL.
Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy: I may read this a little cynically. It can play as quaint, pure ear candy, a bit titillating. Just as well when the lyrics are read closely, it's quite...erm, ambivalent? Love, sex and romance as highly contrived game. I love the charm of the cultured courtship described so vividly. Some would call it a page fallen out of bygone era. The romancing is beyond-wonderful. But it's a skilled artifice. It's also sung in earnest that you wonder what happens at the end of the free fall - at least Killer Queen is hardened by her lack of remorse and is misanthrope herself.
Anytime the clanging piano raced against guitar during live...like Spread Your Wings. It's the most contentious yet perfect match ever heard.

Has to be the acoustic solo on 'White Queen', the vibration of those piano strings against the guitar neck sounds amazing.

Every time I listen to Wembley '86 and I get to the part of the show where Freddie gives his speech on how Queen is not breaking up, contrary to rumors at the time... he says that line that goes: "So forget those rumors, we're going to stay together until we fucking well die, I'm sure"...the man kept his word.
For a song - A Winter's Tale.
Notable mention: Sail Away Sweet Sister...the end - John Deacon's baseline / Roger Taylor's hi-hat / piano / crashing waves-water sounds effect.

I just saw the first 1/4 of part 1 of the days of our lives doc on bbc - and they actually opened with that Wembley '86 bit!!! I guess I'm not the only one to feel that way!

As I mentioned in a similar thread:
Bohemian Rhapsody Love Of My Life The Show Must Go On "right till the end..." in Friends Will Be Friends (although I almost hate this song) "no time for losers..." in We Are The Champions (although I almost hate this song) Don't Try So Hard The end of Play The Game The end of Save Me (as I write this, I shiver just because I remembered that part of the song) You Take My Breath Away "You cause me pain..." in Jealousy One Year Of Love Too Much Love Will Kill You "In my pretending...", in ITLOTGR "So still I wait..." in White Queen

It's not really goosebumps exactly, maybe something more like being immediately swept away into my private music place. Or something like that. There are probably better words. Anyway, I'm sure there are many others but what immediately came to mind was the opening bars of 'It's Late'.

Great question!
My answer is: Only one, and that is "The Show Must Go On".

I would have to say The Show Must Go On as well. Especially considering the circumstances of when it was recorded. But also because it is a real kick in butt for when I need to get work done.
