FAVORITE B-SIDE?!

Regardless of whether they also appeared on albums or not, my favourites are (in no particular order):

Flick Of The Wrist
Lily Of The Valley
White Queen
Keep Passing The Open Windows
Hijack My Heart
My Life Has Been Saved

From that lot, my absolute favourite is MLHBS.

That one's on Sheer Heart Attack.  I think the topic starter is referring to the B-sides that weren't on the LPs.

My pick is Soul Brother.  It's Queen's answer to The Beatles' Glass Onion, and all the Queen musical trademarks are there.  And it's the only one of the bunch that was actually a strong enough song in its own right to be on an album.

See What A Fool I've Been is a close second.  Freddie's spoof vocal is nothing short of brilliant.

But if we can include Hang On In There, then it's better than both of these songs combined.

Since i've purchased Hedlong single in 1992, this one has become a special beautifull song to listen....an aprecciated pearl.

I'm In Love With My Car!!!!

I've always considered Hang On In There a non-album b-side, as it wasn't on the vinyl or cassette release.  The CD releases tended to have the b-sides & extended versions as bonus extras IMO.

Excluding B-Sides that appears on a Queen's Album ( like I'm In Love With My Car), my favourite b-sides are:
1) I GO CRAZY: Very funny lyrics, good rock.
2) HIJACK MY HEART: slow, but intense.
3) SEE WHAT A FOOL I'VE BEEN: No words to describe.

- tingling sensation. burlesque turned into effing art. gypsy rose fred! i want to see the guys' faces during this take.
Stealin' & dog with a bone
- feel the group love. Fred 'butchers' blues again:P

Hard to say, I like them all for different reasons. If I had to pick my top 3 (because everyone loves a list!):

2) Hang On In There
3) Hijack My Heart

In that case, 'A Human Body','I Go Crazy' and 'Soul Brother' do it for me...oh and 'Stealin''.
