Nothin' But Blue + Somewhere In Time

I mixed together the original "Somewhere In Time" by Cozy (+ Brian & John) with Brian's later reworking "Nothin' But Blue."

It was not as straightforward as you'd expect:

First, NNB was pitched slightly faster on Back To The Light than SIT. I had to correct that on NBB.

Second, SIT has about 26 extra seconds of music before the 'guitar solo' (from about 2:17 to 2:43). These 26 seconds of music were removed on NBB, so I restored them, simply copying the "missing" music and placing it in the correct spot on NBB.

Third, I didn't use the NBB-Guitar Version because the drums were actually mixed down further in that version, which is otherwise identical to SIT. SIT, the original track, has much sharper drums, with way more presence, than either NBB-album or NBB-Guitar Version, believe it or not.

Hi I like this remix, as I do with your "My Life Has Been Saved"  great to hear both versions overlayered.

Maybe you could do the same with the guitar versions of "Nothing But Blue" "Just One Life" & "Too Much Love Will Kill You"  overlayered with the originals.

I was thinking the same thing! Unless someone beats me to them, I may try those soon.

I did already try "Love Kills," "Foolin' Around" and "In My Defense".
