Pottermore?

Anybody have the inside track on this mystery?

Well, apparently it means Ms. Rowling has cooked up something, which is not a book, to keep the franchise alive. Sounds like a promotional campaign for a web-based community to more or less coincide with the final film if you ask me.

It will launch in October and they will control the sales of e-books from this site.  I think it is an excellent idea because it is limitless, and new Harry Potter stories and details will entertain the young fans who are just discovering the series.  It is a great way to keep the series current.  I was hoping that the big announcement would be about an 8th book.  Oh, well.

If you signed up for early entry - they allowed a certain number of people - you get in before the end of September.  Beta testing I suppose.  I signed up in the first week of August - they only had signups for seven days.  I just got my welcome email yesterday!!  *dances*  It's pretty cool....I got my wand and got sorted last night.

I can sort my own wand, I don't need JK to do it for me.  Although she can, if the price is right.

I forgot to join. Secretly pleased though. I'd be terrified of being sorted into Hufflepuff. I can't imagine anything worse.

Quite possibly.

I think I'd want to be Ravenclaw, or possibly Slytherin. I'd be most pissed off with Gryffindor and pushed to suicidal thoughts by Hufflepuff.
