Yes it was recorded in 1977 but it comes from the Vid: Champions of the World from 1995ish or something like that.

It's from the famous Bob Harris documentary, which was never finished. Many parts of this documentary were shown on different documentaries, e.g. the recent Days Of Our Lives BBC documentary

Has anyone ever seen Brian's interview in the Whistle Test studio with Bob Harris? Must be c. 1976/77

Do you mean the interview where they have shown Sweet Lady from Hyde Park ? If yes, that one is from 1976 and the SL cut is identical to the one shown later on the ANATO 30th anniversary DVD

Brian was also interviewed on there in 1978 (via phone) for the Jazz album. They played Dead On Time featuring an animated video, accidently shown on The Magic Years accompanying KYA.
