Do you think there is some serious lost potential there? I find it to bequite inovative ( for its time), inspiring and also for me it has the same adrenaline/power/drama going on it as the Scandal (12'' Extended Version). Well almost...But somehow i think its done in a  rough , lets finish it quickly and incorporate all its power into Dont Loose Your Head, kind of  way. Wich ( the later) somehow seems also unfinished. Perhaps combining the ideas from bouth Queen could have made one Master track.

For example do you find the editing on 0:39 is ok? Becouse in my ears its not ok. Also delay effect drumming around 2:00 gets a little too messy for Queen's eclectic taste...

Well , just an opinion.

It's a brilliant track - far superior to the finished version. I always thought Roger did it alone as a finished solo piece but ended up suiting the film so became a Queen song which as you say, removed some of the power of the original. Both the 7" and 12" versions would've been nice on a proper AKOM reissue.
