Is it that BR ( Berliner Rundschau ) Report ? There are two versions. The one that`s more recent from around 2010 - just to remember the good times ( 30 seconds) and the original from 78` ( I didn`t know the original length).

Do you know for sure it was broadcast in 78? If so, then surprising that no tape has turned up. TV footage tends to circulate well.

No, I didn`t know it for sure. But at least the 30 second report do exsist ( I saw it with my own eyes). So there had to be an original I guess. Back in 78`the station was for West Berlin exlusive(more or less= just around 1,3 Million citizens) . How much of them watched the show and were in possession of a VHS recorder and a tape that was ready to go recording the local news ???
Well, today the material should be in the vaults of the RBB( local section) or the ARD( nation wide) (both owned to the public of Germany).. I can do a request but dealing with TV stations...very hard business !

As for taping it off TV - plenty of people recorded the Munich 78 footage back in the day.

I`ve send my request. And I`ve found the more recent footage ( about 35 sec.) on their website.

I was about to quit the video because i thought you were kiding when i saw the real Queen- Elizabeth II. Then i saw the other Queen of England and realised that everything was OK :-)
I don´t understand German, but does this means that the two Queens were visiting Germany at the same time?

^Yes, both were visiting Berlin in 78` , so the announcer could have his stupid bridge from one Queen to QUEEN.
