I agree. "A Kind of Magic" sounds kind of cheesy and I can't imagine a movie being called that to be taken that seriously. Even just the title "Freddie" would be good enough.

I still don't see this happening, to be honest. I don't know, the 1980-1985 period is really uninteresting.
It would be great if they did a story about his last years or so. It would be a great story of a guy who is fighting AIDS and it could be a kind of dramatic love story with Jim Hutton as well. THAT would be interesting.

I guess the american market isn't ready for that :D
I'd rather see a story like Jim Hutton's book than a mid 1980's story.
