Have just been told about this link by a Non-Queen Fan.  The unblinking eye on Wiki says its coming out this year? Huh is this true or is everything broken.

Actually, it wasn't rumour. This information came from the french Rolling Stone magazine (01/2010), where Roger said he plans to release the new album entitled like the last single "The Unblinking Eye" in 2011.

Never trust wikipedia, the information is only good as the person who has submitted it.

So the confirmed tracks are:-
The unblinking Eye ( obviously this will be included)
The Unblinking eye (almost Nude)  (can't see it happening, as the first version will be on the album, this person is just quoting the extra track from the single)
Smile & I'm a drummer in a rock n roll band ( well those were the 2 demos played at the convention, who knows, but obviously, he's cottoned on to their titles, so included them)
Dear Mr Murdoch 2011 (really!!!!! why would Roger put this on his new album when he has already "been There done that!!") with Happiness?

Figment of somebody's mind!!!!!
Joyful the sound

Basically Roger has said he's working on a solo album and back in 2010 he hoped to release it next year (2011).

The only truth to the wiki page is that he's working on a solo album and hopes to release it.  When?  Certainly not '11.  And the track listing is completely assumptions based on the idea that he would include his recent single and then some names of songs he's been working on.

I just hope that if/when he releases it it will be released on vinyl. Maybe a limited edition box with the album on 2x vinyl, a signed artprint of the albumcover, a disc with instruments/outtakes etc.

But I guess we'll get a download-only album ;)

yeah, that would be welcome. i still have my turntable and miss the warmth of analogue sounds on new digital releases.

i managed to transfer a few of my old 70s Bowie and Elton LPs from vinyl to digital and there's definitely somehting that feels better about the sound
