In his soapbox, Brian wrote about the Mr. Big gig he went to at Shepherds Bush Empire this week, saying he had only seen them previously on YouTube.
Wasn't Mr. Big a support act for Queen sometime in their career?

I read that post, too. Hey Brian! - it needs to be said that Mr. Gilbert can practice from now until 2020, and he won't be able to play like you, either. He might be able to play better, a view with which most technicians will agree, and most sentimental Queen fans will argue against vehemently, but he won't be able to sound like you - contrary to popular opinion, guitar really is a field in which you can sound just as unique as a vocalist. I guess what I'm saying is that I can understand his point of view, but he's got nothing to be humble about.

It was the UK based band Mr Big that supported Queen in 1974. Brian went to see the U.S band formed in the '80's.

...............and had a smash with 'Romeo'. But their best was 'feel like calling home,' - and i've believed for 34 years that Freddies talent inspired this excellent song. Got it on tape some where. check it out if you can.

when i saw the subject title i wondered if Brian was the second member of queen to "come out" or if he had strong mafia connections

Actually Brian was once quoted as saying; 'I have no mafia connections. Capice?'
