Hi everybody,
sadly that this interesting topic drifted into a psycho-analystic Meeting on Sigmund Freuds Couch. Back to topic:
Definitely interesting news. Although its not quite clear if Brian just said this to keep hopes up or if it is really in the shelves, maybe for next year.
cheers

That would be great...didn't Brian say something sometime back on his soapbox that they couldn't find the tapes?? Maybe they've found some footage or something, or he's just trying to push off that question...

The question here was about a CD release, which doesn't require video footage. And they certainly do have soundboard audio recording of the show, or else Live Magic or the "Knebworth mix" of Under Pressure wouldn't have possible. :p

Um...that's what I meant: video footage. Somehow HAD asked him about video footage which he'd said was lost. Forgive me for sounding daft in that post haha.

Has Brian said video footage is lost or he said it was'nt recorded? I'm confused, sorry....

I think he said something to the effect of not finding it though they had searched...I'll check that soapbox entry again.

He said that the cameras at Knebworth only film for the gigant screen but not record, at the time they recorded Budapest and Wembley (with crappy quality, but less is nothing) and think that filming Knebworth will be a waste. Nowdays Brian do a diferent thing, of course.

No, they still have the complete documentary footage, as he wrote on his soapbox

^ Yeah, they still have the footage of the documentary recorded by DoRo, but i'm talking about the cameras of the big screen, recording the gig like in Wembley, that is the footage lost, according to Brian May.

I'm so over the Magic Tour. How about some earlier stuff. That would get me more excited.

I want so much this show released on cd. But i also don't give up hoping they will release a dvd. Why?? simple. originally nobody knew the first wembley night was taped, until 2003. when we had a handful of songs shown. And according to gavin taylor and the guys "some of the previous night gig was recorded" and not the whole gig. Which is a lie. on this year with had a proof of it. What holds me to the knebworth dvd dream is that to me the full show exists . At least what the giant screen showed that day. Check the show must go on clip and pay attention between the minutes 3:30 and 3:36. You have snippets of budapest and!!! knebworth(clearly a pro-shot). I hope before i die they release it. hahaha!

That's from one of the 3 DoRo cameras, Doro filmed some of the last half.
