Brian cites Queen I as Queen's heaviest album, but I'm not sure that I agree with him. What are your opinions? Personally, I think one of the heaviest Queen-related albums has to be Another World. Why Don't We Try Again, Wilderness and the title track are ballads (Another World, in my opinion, is one of Brian's finest ballads, Queen or not!), but the rest of that album rocks as hard as hell. As for an actual Queen album... I'd probably pick ANATO. I'm not doubting that Queen I is a pretty good record, because it has some good tunes on it, that's for sure. And Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know has to get a mention - definitely the heaviest Cross album (and probably the best of the three).

Queen could have been a great metal band its a shame they just dipped in and out of it during the 80's, i think a headlining spot at monsters of rock would have been great after all the likes of Bon Jovi and Quo did so why not Queen. heaviest album, Queen Rocks!

Tough question. The last 2 Cross albums sure weren't light. Cosmos rocks had a few moments of heavy for sure. Live Killers was heavy-ish

I've read many times that Sheer Heart Attack is the heaviest Queen album...?

Live Killers is a double LP and that 70s vinyl has a bit of weight in it.

All Queen Albums contain at least one "Heavy Track" But for me it would be a 4 way tie for their "Heaviest" Queen I, News of the World' Live Killers, and Innuendo. And my fellow Queen fans always remember Queen may not have been in the same Heavy catagory such as Judas Priest and others but Queen rocked harder with melody and harmony than any band EVER

Queen I / Sheer Heart Attack / NOTW / Jazz / Live Killers - all are pretty heavy albums

The first three albums are heavy in their own way... The first l.p. has its moments, with Christian/religious-tinged lyrics, Queen II is hyperbole inc. and with SHA the band starts to get versatile, show its true potential...let's not forget that the heaviest tune in SHA (maybe in Queen's entire catalogue) was, Stone Cold Crazy, was written in the pre-Queen days (Wreckage)...so if pushed, yeah, Queen I

The heavist Queen record is the first one...so yea, I agree with Brian on that one...After Queen1 is Sheer Heart Attack....But even SHA had plenty of melodic moments....Queen 1 was heavy metal in 1973, and even Halford mentioned it as their heaviest and his favorite...I agree, that Queen at their heaviest were heavier than Priest in the 70's....To bad the general public doesn't know it.
