Hello Everyone...Queen experts and collectors,Do you, or anyone you know, have any examples of handwritten Queen song lyrics, written obviously by any of the band members; any song from any project/year.  I've seen a good many interesting examples auctioned or Ebayed over the years. We are working on a couple of projects at this moment and would like to include any such examples that we don't have in our own archive. We are simply attempting to make these products as full and exciting as possible. Please contact me at gb_home@btinternet.com with any details.  Many thanks in advance.  Greg Brooks - Queen Archivist

Wrong..... I don't expect something at all in return.... lost my hope for that a long time ago.Just the fact we haven't heard a single thing from the man in months. Talking about the  'Wembley Cock Up' topic, the Days of Our Lives Doc, the Remastered new Universal releases.... no even a single word of help whenever somebody asked something about these topics related to the Queen Archive. I think the guy only shows up when he needs something for his own or QP benefits.

Anyway...I undertand the case of Freddie or even john...obtain a handwritten lyric of John Deacon is almost as impossible as obtain one from freddie... But Roger Or Brian??? i think obtain a handwritten lyrics of roger or brian is TOO MUCH easy... why they will buy it??

Just fake 'em.  I've made thousands of dollars selling fake lyrics.

I've got the lyrics for that festive season classic: "Meet Me By The Christmas Tree, and Kiss Me Under The Balls".

Well, I do happen to have the handwritten lyrics to a rare Mercury piece titled: "The Letterbox".

Any takers?

If the message comes from Greg, why doesn't he write it here personally ?

I think Mr. Brooks is pretty much done here with the critics on QZ.

hahahaha !! well, the couple of replies he´s got at QOL aren´t much warm, I´d say !!

This is ridiculous; they´re always trying to get help from us and later on ... what are we getting from them? rubbish and more rubbish.

Interestingly, the picture at QOL that accompanies this request has a lyric sheet for Fat Bottomed Girls, but in what looks to me to be Freddie's writing? Perhaps he had trouble reading Brian's writing when it came to record it, but needed the lyrics in the studio?

In keeping with the tone of other posts, I really can't see why we should continually give out info to QPL and Greg when continual well mannered and intentioned requests for comments from them on posts here (many of which are topics they've started) go unheeded.

If anyone does have handwritten lyrics I say why give them to QPL for free to make more money from? financial worth of the original. I suppose it could be argued that they might be copyright QPL, but in practice they came into existence BEFORE the recorded copyright protected audio was, so should be ok?

In the FBG case, I should imagine Brian drafted the words and freddie got to work on them and changed things around. I can't imagine Brian being so coarse!

If you ever read Brian's letters, you'll understand why Freddie had to transcribe Brian's songs with his own handwriting.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.
