Thanks for posting the link, Harry.

Yet again, the sound is crushed by compression and distorted as a result.  And it sounds like it's in a digital vacuum.  We'll have to wait to see if all this is from a bad youtube upload or excessive hiss reduction.

Very well put, Bob. To me, the sample is a huge disappointment. If it's like that, I won't listen to it since I very much prefer the great source we already have (and of which we recently got the best possible version).

Unfortunately, I gather that Tarantura like to work from the original masters (or digital copies of), and so they've probably compressed these themselves.

Since all Mr Peach will get out of the deal is a handful of Silvers (maybe 5 at the most), he's hardly made loads of money selling his copy.
Maybe one day, the original, uncompressed versions will be released by him directly.
