Yes, now it´s official. The original lineup of Osbourne, Iommi, Butler and Ward reunites and writes a new album with producer Rick Rubin. A world tour follows. More info on www.black-sabbath.com and www.blacksabbath.com

Initial thought: "disaster"

Can Osbourne even function?

Sure they got old. But Ozzy was better than ever when I last saw him(much due to autotuning, I'm sure), and his latest studioalbum was great! And Heaven & Hells album from 2009 tells us that Tony and Geezer still got it. My only concern is Bill, who hasn't been allright, with heart-attacks and such.

Also, I don't think Rick Rubin gets involved in something he doesn't belive in. And if my prophecy comes true, this means that Ozzy the soloartist is done for.

Will be interesting.. Rubin will bring Sabbath to a new audience but he loves to EQ to buggery everything he touches so regardless of how good the songs may be they will sound awful

Top things overheard at this year's tour:

1.  I can't read the tour dates...

2.  Yes, I need 1 adult and 2 senior citizen tickets...

3.  That's not a recording device, that's my hearing aid.

4.   I should have "went" before the show started

5.   Those kids keep bumping into my chair...  put the wheel brakes on, Earl.

6.  I should have "went" after the second song.

7.  The Vanilla Ensure tastes old.  Let me try the Chocolate one.

8.  Who is this again?

The question on my mind is...does Ozzy know?

And perhaps more importantly...will Ozzy *still* know tomorrow morning?

They're not touring anywhere near my country :-( I don't want to travel across half of Europe to see 4 living zombies, even when I absolutely LOVE everything they produced in the 70's

You're forgetting the real #1.

1) QUIT PLAYING THE SAME GODDAMNED SONGS!!! FU********CKKK!!!
(continues) GET OFF THE STAGE!! PLAY SOMETHING ELSE!!! FUUUUUUUU***!!! YOU PLAYED THE SAME SONGS ON THE LAST TOUR... AND ON THE ONE BEFORE!!!

FUUUUUUUUUUU***!!

(whereby the audience member gets blaringly drunk and then proceeds to pretend to enjoy hearing the same 14 song setlist of the last 20 years, due to Ozzy's laziness. and his b**** c**t of a wife.

DESPITE... being practically the Beatles of Metal... having one of the greatest song catalogues EVER. (up there with Beatles, Queen, Stones [sure, half their music is generic], Stevie Wonder, Prince)

I'm glad i got to see and meet Ronnie James Dio before he died. His performances on HEAVEN AND HELL were insanely awesome.

That said, i'm hopeful of a new album. Hopefully it's not a piece of S***
