Does anybody know for sure which tracks Brian appears on, or is it a case of they've been re-recorded so many times that he now no longer appears on any of them?!

I'm pretty sure Brian confirmed that none of his material was used on the album.

as a big GNR fan i can tell you that Brian is not on the album.
He apears on the leaked demo for Catcher in the rye and he has confirmed he also plays on Atlas Shrugged which is unleaked and unreleased!
It's also possible he could have made other recordings but even in the GNR world we dont know about it.

I dont know about Brian but Ulrich Schnauss is very present in the album...lol. Anyway, i dont like GNR but thanks to them i discover Schnauss....

I heard Brian was very disappointed being left off the album, same with Roy Thomas Baker who was the original producer before it was re- recorded years later. Roy has said he can't comment about it. (his twitter) for legal reasons. Axl Rose is one difficult individual to work with. I guess..
