Yes... can anyone add an untampered version of the gig or not?

All we've seen is clips in documentaries.  Here's the only complete song -

New album and tour with Adam Lamb. It will be definitely the best thing they can do...

Come on... These guys had great possibility to release great stuff on 40th anniversary. They didn't do that.
I bet probably most of fans don't care about their words anymore.

People lost faith in these guys. That's all...

Nobody buys another shit about new releases, working and stuff.

Hyde Park is an interesting one, the quality of his singing varies a lot (the peak being You Take My Breath Away, which is phenomenal), but it's never gets to the point of being a particularly bad performance.

Is it any coincidence that people think YTMBA is the best performance of the show, while it is the only song that has been properly released?

There is no such thing as a bad Queen show.  A few came close, but Hyde Park ain't one of them.

I wouldn't say so. Especially if it was instead of a 70's concert. It's just so similar to Wembley and I don't see the point of going to the trouble of releasing another Magic Tour show.
It's late, but it's time to set me free It's late, yes I know but there's no way it has to be Too late, so let the fire take our bodies this night So late, so let the waters take our guilt in the t

I know I wouldn't buy it and I'm sure I'm not alone. Wembley and Live Killers covers that tour. Another Magic concert with the same setlist is the epitome of redundance. Save Knebworth and/or Budapest '86 for when there's nothing else.

the "perfect" release would be the "anthology" or a collection of unreleased tracks, even if they are just demos. Or a new and improved "Live Killers" or better yet some definitive 70s-era concert. We've gotten enough 'Tache Freddie so long maned Spandex Freddie is an absolute must.

I can´t disagree with anything on Peter´s list; everything in there would make, to me, a perfect release.

The less appealing would be maybe the FM Tribute Concert .... but, what a coincidence, I was just watching it again a couple of weeks ago (the butchered DVD) and, honestly, I didn´t rememember it sounded so bad !!! Roger´s snare almost made my head explode !

But BBC´s and live shows aside, what I´m still wanting the most is the studio stuff from the archive. My belief through the years that there´s a lot of good stuff in there was reinforced by some of the bonus tracks in the Island remasters:

The Flash Gordon sessions takes, Dreamer´s Ball acoustic, DSMN with guitar, Feelings Feelings, Sail Away Sweet Sister, etc etc etc

I know there´s a lot of people caring very little for this kind of stuff, but I´m really fascinated by any alternate take, work in progress, etc etc, recording in the studio.

Happy new year to everybody, btw !!

That's EXACTLY what I wanted to write :-)

The clip of DSMN from Hammy '79 on the Days Of Our Lives Blu-Ray has stereo sound, so could this mean they at least have a stereo mix for the night?
Property Of Queen Productions...

It's frustrating that there seems to be a problem (in BM/RTs perfectionist eyes) with every potential live release. Missing multitracks, not good enough video footage etc. seems to prevent release of Earls Court, Hammy 79, Knebworth, Houston. There seems to be reservation about Hyde Park and '79 tour. It doesn't leave us with much to hope for, Rainbow 74, Budapest? Unfortunately (for us) there is no perfect release in Queen's eye.
I of course would take anything dropping from the masters table.

I hope we will be getting some more live releases in the next couple of years.

I was listening to Queen rock Montreal in my car and couldn't help but be thrilled by the quality of it... Not all is negative in Queen-world:-)

Now, I think the following live concerts CAN be released:
- Rainbow 1974
- Hammy'75
- Hyde park '76
- Earls court '77
- Hammy'79

I think those could make stunning releases. Hammy'79 would without a doubt be one of the best live releases in the history of rock (I'm not kiddin'!). The musical performance is mind-blowing and FM's full of energy and looks as great as he sounds. I also adore that lighting rig, I find it spectacular:-)

Hyde Park will be a great DVD aswell (this one will happen;-)

Budapest'86 and Rio first night are 2 great shows too so I wouldn't mind having a dvd of those shows either... But now - of course - it is first time for some seventies live stuff.

I agree, bearing in mind Queen have a reputation for being a great live band I dont really care much for live stuff. I would much rather have studio outtakes/alternates/demos/rehearsals etc etc.

I guarantee that unless a). The multi-track is found or b). The multi-track is deemed lost forever, Hammy '79 will not be released and I'm happy with that. I'd hate them to release it with the mix they have now then find the multi-track a year or two down the line.

I'd be very surprised if Hyde Park doesn't see the light of day in the near future. And possibly Paris '79?
