Obvious marketing hype.

Hmmmmmmm? What can be seen in the Queen crystal ball for 2012:

(my take on it)

For America:
1) the Queen Extravaganza tour - they are committed now so must follow thru in 2012.
2) my hope: a break from Hollywood records

For the UK:
1) casting and stage work begins for the sequel to WWRY

New releases:
Some things we've been waiting for and have discussed during 2011.

I hope they'll release some concerts from the 70's era, specially Rainbow 1974.

Meh, we're allowed to hope. I think they should at least release a DVD of some description with Live Killers (Hammersmith 79 would be amazing), since that seems like one of the more plausible things for 2012.

I hope we'll get a follow-up to Absolute Greatest, and a new version of We Will Rock You with still images of The Hero and Flash edited in.

We'll probably get something like, "Absolute Greatest 2: 20 Other Hits," with stuff like Body Language and Good-Old Fashioned Lover Boy, as well as Now I'm Here, Flash, and so on.
Any way the wind blows...

+++++++ (continued)

In my earlier post I forgot to mention the Olympics. Certainly Britain will be showing the very best of itself during the Opening & Closing Ceremonies broadcast to millions around the world. I expect to see a medley of songs from famous British performers worked into the opening and closing. This will most certainly include Queen and hopefully Brian and Roger will be on stage. WATC comes immediately to mind of course.
