Quality = media attention?  You're playing that card?  Really?

Made In Heaven has sold 20 million copies worldwide - more than any other Queen album besides compilations.  Most people couldn't care less that most of the record was leftovers in one way or another.  A good record is a good record, regardless of how it came to be.

Queen basically ceased to exist in the US after 1982, so the record wasn't marketed.  But it did well pretty much everywhere else.

I have never heard any proof that Let me Live was recorded in 1983. There have been stories of Let Me Live with Rod Stewart. But I have never heard anny official reports on it.

Although, even if the track started out in 1983. We can't say for sure that Freddie's vocals were also recorded in 1983.

If you go back to the working track list from The Works discussed here:

http://www.queenzone.com/forums/1221484/interesting-sighting-at-peter-hince-exhibition.aspx

it seems "Take Another Little Piece Of My Heart" is on there. That would have to be Let Me Live in whatever form they worked on in 1983...

Made In Heaven would have made a great E.P.   but it is far from being a good record.  This was a cash-in record.  No "Queen album" was going to sell like this ever again, so they took advantage of it and soaked us all.  Re-hashes of outtakes are not what a serious fan wanted.  Of course, this being your choice:  Fred or No Fred, they forced us into choice #1.  If it was such a good record, how is it that nothing is ever mentioned or played from this album.  Queen tracks are being played on the radio and TV spots now... but they (thankfully) left MIH and Innuendo out of that rotation.  Hoop Diddy Doo.[/QUOTE]
Wow, some nice suggestions in there indeed. Or more precisely - statements.
Sometimes, I really don't know what some people are doing on these discussion boards. I mean, if you actually do think what you said above, I assume you must basically loathe them? Because I don't understand how can you be a fan of anyone you accuse of "cashing in" on their friend's death? [Which is completely untrue, because it was Freddie's wish to have these songs released, as opposed to the band's "taking advantage of the opportunity" a new Queen record offered]

I love Queen and think their best music is some of the finest art of the last century, And I agree with Microwave wholeheartedly. What does that make me or say about me?

There IS an official report on LML beginning in 1983. Brian said so in a 1996 issue of the FC Magazine, while the single was having relative success and he decided to briefly comment on the song.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.
