A while back there was a supposed 'leak' that Queen, with Adam Lambert on vocals, were booked for Sonisphere in France.
This week there has been a further report that they (amongst some other acts) are due headline the UK Sonisphere. Planet Rock's website carries the story, and the organiser's think enough of it to put out a statement saying the leak is "completely false".
I'm not saying it is actually true, but:
1) Lambert, May and Taylor have all spoken publicly about working together this year
2) Two different sources now quote Sonisphere as a possible gig
3) Taylor said in a recent interview that Queen would be playing some festivals
If they are doing this, and other big gigs, they will already be booked and in place, or if they aren't playing, the rest of the bill will be announced soon anyway, so we will know pretty soon either way.
I can't believe myself when I actually say that Queen will be playing but I sadly will not go - Lambert was shocking at the MTV Awards and others (May and Taylor) amongst them could do so much better.

Roger Taylor has been talking about headlining a or some festivals since 2010.
I think they may have talked about doing this to celebrate their 40th anniversary. This never happened. Maybe these Latest rumours are as a result of those plans

it's a nightmare...
I am so happy that I decided to move on around 2003 and not just concentrate on Queen anymore. I've discovered such good music since then.
I'm just not interested in any 'Queen +' Experiments at all anymore and am happy to say that I will glady pass this 2012 gig :)
