Brian and Roger must be deaf at this point. That performance Lambert gave of TSMGO was atrocious and horribly off key. The vibrato alone was painful to listen to.

Seriously, let's not tarnish the band's reputation and Freddie's memory by adding him to the line-up.

give Adam a chance, mabe he'll do some songs like 'My Fairy King, or Jesus, Nevermore,or mabe, Misfire or some other songs that he can "prance" around to!(I kinda like "All Gods People" furthermore,we might even like it.. just imagine for a moment,if you dare...perfect stage setting, dry ice smoke machines on full flow, blue & purple lights, and out pops Adam in a black leotard , speckled with sequins! singing "The Fairy Fellows Master Stroke"!!!! OH MY

So how many of you that are totally against this are gonna wind up going? If I remember correctly everyone here hated Paul Rodgers, yet they sold out.
Look at the bright side. It's Brian and Roger live!

It seems to be a rumour. Anyway, I am dying for new activity from the guys. Of course I would prefer a brand new album of them alone followed by 2 world tours, but...

Cheers,

This is absolutely untrue. Like many other people I was enthusiastic about the QPR project from the start. I do not understand how someone can compare Adam L with Paul Rodgers at all. Paul Rodgers has been a first class singer since the 1960s, he has written legendary songs and he fronted three bands. You must not like PR but to put him in the same category as Adam Lambert is a joke. AL is just one of these singers who have some vocal power and can scream like hell but where is his original artistic ability? Some make up and some gay antics do not make a Freddie Mercury. Perhaps he can grow and become a first rate artist but I have my doubts seeing how he seems to believe kissing a guy on stage is a carreer booster (which apparently backfired completely in the USA).

The QPR project was a chance to see Brian and Roger on a tour - even two tours and while I understand how many people did not like PR as a front singer, he is a just a great singer in his own rights never even trying to be like Freddie Mercury. The Cosmos Rocks was  nothing like a vintage Queen album but it was a nice album and it was NEW. I cannot believe that Roger and Brian want to tour their 20 year old catalogue over and again with Adam Lambert fronting them. For me it would be a step behind QPR and i would not like to see it.
I do not want any google ads here.

Sorry but it's not. Beatles never did that.[/QUOTE]
You mean Paul McCartney played the Superbowl halftime show for fun?

When Brian played with Lady Gaga at that recent award show, a million kids aged 8-12 watched it and asked their parents who the gray-haired guitar player is. And bang, the next generation is on youtube looking up Queen songs. This is why Brian does things like this.

If McCartney and Ringo don't do things like this, they're perfectly entitled. Everyone's got their own way of trying to stay relevant... or not. But to compare anyone to the Beatles simply isn't fair. They are the greatest and most influential musical artists of the last century, and everyone else is in second place. They don't need any publicity.

Paul McCartney is not The Beatles, he's Paul McCartney playing Beatles songs. Big difference.

But he's still a Beatle, and always will be seen as one, no matter what he's doing.

Do people go see him because he might play songs he wrote in the 80s? :-)

No, but he's not going out with Ringo Starr, Kelly Clarkson and Cee Lo Green and presenting himself as The Beatles. The Beatles and Zep have handled their post-band eras infinitely more dignified than Queen has, Queen has probably sold more than Zep (and despite Brian's assertations about how The Beatles have handled their catalogue they still blew up all sales records when the catalogue launched on iTunes so they can do sales without this type of stuff) and while I am not a huge Zep or Beatles fan, I'd be embarrassed if they trotted out the latest reality goofball and played as Zep or The Beatles. Brian and Roger obviously have no issues with it so more power to them.

The difference is that Freddie is in my mind irreplaceable. Queen minus Freddie is like The Stones minus Jagger, or Zeppelin minus Plant, Van Halen minus Eddie.

I don't like Lambert, but I want to see another concert with Brian and Roger. Paul Rodgers is a great singer, he would have been better than Lambert.
