Innuendo is very ordinary. People rave about the title track but Queen just tried to make Bo Rhap part 2 and failed.
gotta disagree here - I've been listening to it a lot recently and I think it's an amazing song - heard best in it's Explosive Version. The lyrics seem to be really personal, Freddie seems to be singing about his legacy, although he I think he always said he didn't care about what people thought - anyway - a really great song seemeingly underated.

Roger wrote the lyrics to Innuendo, mind you. But I still see where you're coming from. A lot of them are direct references to Led Zeppelin (Kashmir and Thank You, notably)

At the end of the day, these are the great Queen records:
Queen II
SHA
ANATO
ADATR
The Game
Innuendo
These are the ones that offered something unique for the average fan of music to be aware of. Everything else is in second place or worse.[/QUOTE]
NOTW belongs on that list
I rank them like this:
ADATR
ANATO
Q2
SHA
NOTW
THE GAME
Q1
Innuendo
Jazz
HS
Works
MIH
AKOM
Miracle
Flash

Absolutely. It's Late = Queen at their hard rock best.

I almost agree, but the record isn't solid. There are many stellar tracks, but Fight From The Inside and Get Down Make Love just aren't in the same league as the majesty of Queen II, SHA and ANATO.

One of the reasons we love them is their range of different styles, and how they changed from album to album.
HS, The Works, Flash, Miracle, Magic... they all contain very strong tracks and are just as imprortant to any other album apart from ANATO and QI, which both are vital in the bands history.
