Adam Lambert has cleared up reports he is the new frontman of Queen, insisting remarks he made about joining the We Will Rock You stars were "taken out of context".
In a recent interview, the pop star appeared to confirm he was heading on the road with original group members Brian May and Roger Taylor for a tour later this year (12).
However, Lambert claims he was actually referring to a previous performance he and the rock icons gave at the Mtv European Music Awards in November (11).
In a post on Twitter.com, he writes, "Oooh them clever reporters takin (sic) my quotes outta (out of) context... I haven't confirmed any guest appearances. I was talking about the EMAs.
"That being said, I'm truly flattered by your jump to such glorious conclusions Mr Journalist!!"
A spokesperson for Queen's label, Hollywood Records, admits there have been discussions about Lambert teaming up with the band, but no official deal has been inked.
The representative tells Rolling Stone, "Adam may perform with Queen at (European music festival) Sonisphere. This is not confirmed. Nothing has been signed."

Adam or his representative doesn't actually deny the performances, do they? They just aren't confirming it at the moment... I'm guessing right now Brian and Roger are unhappy because yet another announcement of theirs has been slipped out prematurely.
There's a pattern here in case anybody hasn't noticed.
Pieces of gossip appear online, and the fans keep saying "that's too stupid to possibly be true" until the moment it's officially confirmed a few months later.
I would be more surprised if Queen + Adam Lambert was NOT officially confirmed in a few months.

Would be great to see Queen again at Knebworth, that is if the rumoured Queen+Lambert gig at Sonisphere 2012 is to happen, But & it's a Big But. Tickets for the festival "4 day weekend thurs-Sun @ £500-ish" "3 Day weekend Fri-sun @ £416-ish" don't know if you can buy single day tickets, but who would pay that much money to see maybe a 30minute set, with that Lambert Guy? not me!!!

I'd rather see Madonna front Queen than Lambert. The only thing good about Lambert is the throwed Rolls...
If it happens it's because Queen feels it's a good fit.

Please God no...no Queen+Adam Lambert!! I was cool with Paul Rodgers, but there's a huge difference between PR and AL...PR actually has talent, though he was a different choice for the band, they rocked with PR! I don't ever care to see Adam Lambert team up with anyone, much less do I ever want to hear him sing again...period!

Sonisphere tickets are around £190 for weekend camping, not sure where you got your figures? But yeah it would be awesome to see Queen at Soni in one form or another.
