Just let Roger be lead singer

Love Roger and his singing, he sounds a bit like Rod Stewart

If Roger wanted to be lead vocalist for Queen he's had 20+ years to make his intentions known, so I doubt he will suddenly come to that conclusion now. In any event, Queen are probably finihsed as a touring band, either with or without a new lead singer. Paul Rodgers was the last chance to do this with some dignity and authority and that's finished. Best we can hope for is an occasional one-off show. Personally, I'd like to see some more May/Taylor studio work, with both sharing vocals but I'm not sure they want to do such low-key stuff. They're too caught up in the "big production, big audience" mode of rock stardom, and I doubt they want to go back to just being musicians again.

Roger sang I'm In Love With My Car 'off beat' because to achieve the album phrasing, he recorded the drum and vocal separately. If he'd recorded it by singing it and playing the drums simultaneously, I'd imagine it'd sound similar to what you hear live; sustaining the notes less because inhaling is more important.

Did Roger have a higher vocal range than Freddie?

I would love that. I think it would have been incredible if Brian, Roger & John had made an album with no outside musicians. No-One But You showed that they were certainly capable of making amazing work without Freddie.

Yeh, although one can dream.

Its a hard one this. On one hand Freddie was an absolute genius and as proved many many times no one can replace him. But on the other hand, I NEED MORE QUEEN.Id just love someone to come in and record new songs/tour etc etc.
