I think I understand. He's answering when was "the only one take" Innuendo recorded (year and month).
It wasn't recorded in just one take, there's demo from 1989 on Internet of the first two minutes only (or so). And January 1991 was the release date for the single. The recording date was between 1989 and 1990.
