It's a dopey premise to start with. Barely anything about the site has to change. There doesn't need to be any censoring; hilarious posts can go on being posted.
We just need to nip a couple of people from the membership. John.Simon, Jake, the members of TM, and that's about it. It can't be put into words just how much better the site would be - wouldn't even require a huge change in policy or anything. Just get rid of these cocksuckers.

Microwave - the answer is E, none of the above.
The person who started the thread is a troll. Look at his history - no matter what he posts (with a Russian to English translator), he is a complete buffoon who cannot engage even in basic dialogue. So I decided to have some fun. No harm done.
The point of hellbanning is to hide the posts of people who offer nothing of value to the forum. If you think I qualify under that category, then I hope the feature is added just for you.

Bob, I have said many times on here what a value to this community you are. It's just that lately you guys have been picking a lot of fights, Inu more so than you.
I think Zebonka makes a terrific point: "There doesn't need to be any censoring"
I agree 100% with that!! John Simon, while a"troll" or whatever you internet gurus like to call them posted a scan of an article I had never seen. Does that warrant censorship? Had he been "hell-banned" or whatever, I would not have seen that article. Did it change my life? No... but it was an interesting read.
But when you cross the line and maliciously fabricate things, that's when you have to look in the mirror.
Users like Amazon and Inu-liger are doing far worse inciting things than John Simon posting bogus Freddie timeline facts. It would be nice to see, if you people really do want to make it a better place, the same attention brought to that problem as the worthless threads of nonsense.

Well, I've been reading a little bit about hellbanning and there are different types. One type allows the hellbanned person (HBP) to participate in the forum but nobody else on the forum can see the HBP's posts. Another type, called Friends For Hellbanned People (FFHBP) allows other HBPs to see each other's posts but the rest of the forum cannot see their posts. So I think we need to think back over our history here and try to remember just what it was that we did that made Richard put us in the FFHBP. In my case I think it was too many posts about subjects I knew absolutely nothing about. Obviously, I had no idea of just how irritating and disruptive I had become.

I had never found you irritating and disruptive, I'm pretty sure the general consensus around here is the same.
We have an opportunity to clean up this site because there's bound to be a wave of new fans from a younger demographic.
132 Queen fans have joined so far this month.
It's important that we realize that if we can't moderate ourselves, at that rate (see above) it would be quite easy railroad with Lambert fans and replace our threads with "What kind of shirt do you think Adam will wear tonight" and "Adam is so hot", not to mention the American Idol fans.

So you are saying that even though we have all been hellbanned (if you are correct I may be here by accident), there is no reason we cannot strive to keep the standards high enough, even at our level so that when the newly hellbanned Adam fans arrive here we can be organized enough to hellban them to a slightly lower level. Good thinking.

So then what is this?
rocknrollover wrote: What concert Brian played his very longest solo?

The Real Hippo wrote: One time he played in his basement for an hour straight.
Posted in the General Forum the NEXT DAY after he accused me of trolling, personal attacks, etc!!!!
So explain yourself, Bob. YOU can do it but no one else can? Is that the policy you're looking for?
For all Queenzoners, let's make it a multiple choice. Was this an example of:
A) Trolling B) Really bad humor C) Clever retort D) A & B
Grow up, Bob. Or just stick to posting about Queen and stay out of the Personal forum. That would probably make things a lot better. You're an antagonist.
(Stay tuned for the answer!!!!)
Gee thanks MEDUSA, for re-posting. The answer was B, but we already gave out the free Queen Phone Cards.
