Queen + P. Rodgers upcoming SHM-CDs/DVDs releases in Japan

According to HMV Japan May 23rd will see the release of several Queen + Paul Rodgers DVDs and albums on the SHM-format:

Return of The Champions (2SHM-cd)
Return of The Champions (dvd)
The Cosmos Rocks (SHM-cd)
The Cosmos Rocks (SHM-cd + dvd)
Super Live in Japan (dvd)

mmm I wonder what do they mean with The Cosmos Rocks DVD...

So where are the BluRays? These WERE recorded in HD after all.

I would bet that's the CD+DVD edition of "The Cosmos Rocks" - so, it means audio CD and DVD with Super Live In Japan Highlights.

Interesting if they were to do it that way, because the original Japanese 2-disc release had the SLIJ Highlights on CD form rather than DVD!

what a waste if they don't put out Sheffield, Tokyo and Ukraine on blu ray....

I think it's waste if they don't release Hyde Park 2005 or Buenos Aires 2008 - great concerts, great audiences, historical aspects (bomb attacks in London 2005, return to the South America after more than a quarter century).

both shows, I would imagine, don't require much work to be put out

Why no Blu Ray? Surely its a 'standard' format these days?
And as recorded in HD then surely quicker and cheaper to convert to the BD format than SD?

Then again QP have never been very smart since day one when it comes to DVD/BD authoring!
