Everyone's entitled to their own opinions. Personally, I think he's a VERY good singer, and he certainly ranks much higher than the fellows from Queen - It's A Kinda Magic (who perform the majority of their setlist a semitone down and even then can't hold the tuning down to a T)

Guitarist isn't much of a Brian, although he's a fantastic player in his own right by the sound of things. The fast runs in A Kind of Magic are very well executed![/QUOTE]
Yup, bang on.
Whenever I hear Gary sing, I just wonder how much better it`d sound if he had a band that actually sounded like Queen. A bunch of guys playing Queen songs with the right notes is definitely not the same thing as guys who have intimately studied the styles of Brian, Roger and John. The rest of the band definitely have not done their homework like Gary has.

Thanks for the upload. Funny how Gary, after mastering every single nuance of Freddie phrasing and timbre, now also seems to have picked up his throat problems and found the same workarounds during live shows. I guess there is such a thing as singing too much like Freddie after all.

I think Gary has studied not only the official material, but I think Gary has also been looking at the unofficial material as well: At my show, he was doing the same exact phrasing on songs as Freddie did on stuff like Stuttgart 1984, Milan 1984, Vienna 1984, and some Magic Tour shows. When I was getting his autograph, he mentionedstuff like "listening to lots of audio concerts from Queen" and then talked a bit about the Works Tour.
Gary's a huge fan of Queen/Freddie, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was looking at the unofficial material!
