This is an awesome gig, one of the better in Queen's history for sure. Thanks to God was recorded in audio and video.

So, my questions are:

- The audio was recorded in full?
- How many cameras was used for the video recording?
- In what quality was filmed (Video, 16 mm, 35 mm, ...?
- Any real chance of an official release?

Thanks to the experts for anwser this!

I don't think the audio exists on a "serious format", one that they think would be suitable for an official release. We do have a very nice and complete audience recording though!

At least four cameras were used.
[listu] [li]1 on the right on the stage [li]1 on the left (he moves around, sometimes from one side to the other) [li]1 elevated above to the right. [li]1 back straight in front of the stage (full stage view) [/listu]

not sure about video format. And I don't think it will be released for a long time if it ever does. There are several other more popular concerts that will probably show up first, plus re-issues!

The video has been released officially and is on the Japanese 'Days Of Our Lives' DVD.

Yes, but it misses the "intro".

Also, are the 3 songs all what was filmed ?

In the Stormtrooper exhib we could see more Japan 75 footage (wich isn´t include on the japanese DOOL dvd) so i guess there´s more footage (altough maybe mute, very fragmented and not from 1st may)

Certainly not. There are at least a few more minutes of (presumably silent) footage with Freddie in a different outfit.

That's the "intro" I was talking about :-)

the sound of these 3 songs from Days Of Our Lives japanese DVD is almost unlistenable for an official release, who knows if they have a better version..

It's probably the best they've got. I'm still thrilled that the three songs came out unedited after decades of umpteen generation copies from Japanese TV, and the odd clip here and there from documentaries.

As for the rest of the footage, it's just a matter of how much exists. As far as I know, there is at least another 4 minutes, from Keep Yourself Alive, amongst other songs.

could be not true, for example there's a big difference from the sound of tokyo 82 published officially as bonus in the "on fire live at the Bowl" DVD and the bonus tracks taken from the same concert published last year in the deluxe editions.

It just sounds like they added some compression. It's the same stereo mix. It sounds like they did the mix in 1983 for the VHS release and haven't changed it since.

The slapback echo is still there, and they didn't even try to get rid of it. So that's my hypothesis anyway..

Does anybody have an idea what source will be used for the new Wardour bootleg ?
