THE WHO AND HYDE PARK

Luke Humphreys wrote comparing The Who Hyde Park concert last weekend with Queen+PR Hyde Park concert. Also asked if a DVD of that show possible: forthcoming.

I was sad to miss seeing the Who this time around. I think if there had never been a WHO there would never have been a QUEEN ... well, not the same anyway !!

A DVD? Well, not yet .... we'll have to have think ... The problem would be that it wasn't actually filmed, although we have some footage I believe ...

bri and roger are losing the plot fast. i think this linked to some kind of feud one or both of them have with pr.

How anyone can get worked up about another Queen + PR concert is beyond me. I enjoyed the show I went to in 2008: in fact it was quite moving at times. The best bits were when Rodgers did his own songs and when Brian did Bijou. BUT ... watching them on DVD is not the same as being at a concert and both the Return of the Champions DVD and Super Live in Japan are boring as hell. It's like karaoke Queen most of the time. I haven't bothered with Live In Ukraine. I don't bother with any of the bootlegs. One original Queen concert release would be worth 100 Q+PR concerts.
