That's what I imagined a C-lebrity promo video should have looked like, had they bothered in doing something other than the Al Murray show. With a couple of days' work from someone who does that kind of thing they could have had something almost decent. Not that it would have made a difference in the album and single's performance, but still.
I was also disappointed when there was not another single released from TCR. And don't tell me they knew the material was crap and thought it would be a better business decision not to spend money in it.
Even Roger's solo albums had a bunch of 7", 12" and CD singles, colored and clear vinyl, picture discs, all with different track list. Did he think he was going to break the charts at the time?
What changed?

Probably they thought that it sounded more of a classic rock album than a Queen one.
I look at it as a really good rock album myself.Definitely not a Queen one.

Found the video to be pretty fawrking hilarious!!
If only they had a better Roger voice itd be pretty flawless.
Voice over guy should have smoked a pack or swallowed gravel to get it right.
I laughed like hell with the Deacy reveal! Lol. Thank u

WoW. FLOORED by the accuracy of that second scornful video!!!
That was point on spot!! The only things missing were shat Robbie Williams appearance on Jay Leno where he put an index card or something in his mouth to imitate and ridicule Fred.
That and "if I was real good, I wouldn't stand a chance at all"
That could have shown the great singers capable of helming it...(Few as they are)
George Michael, Annie Lennox, the guy from Keane or hell....anybody capable
Incredible mockery! Loved it!

Lastly: GREATEST INDICTMENT since Nuremberg.
Only funny.
(And yes, neither Spain or the US have faced similar indictments as the German ppl did)
Lol. I still think its appealing to 3-9 year olds, but the whole "idol" thing is kinda ridiculous in itself.
Gotta say though, he did BETH justice, and showed his voice to possess a range. I just don't like his way of singing.
Kinda like an Elton John balladeer with a higher voice
"KISS" on the other hand, yeah they look cheesy as hell, and playing a show like that look like they're desperately pandering to another audience
I'm aware they don't have Peter or Ace anymore.
Paul sounds in fine form though, for a dude his age.
Never been a big kiss fan. They're excellent live for what it is though.
Its touch and go as far as good rock songs go. Hell there's even good stuff on their disco sh*t album. You just gotta know where to look.
Hated most of their "seminal" albums. Weak songs, weak production.
Fave song: Unholy (even though Genes a shithead douchebag)

OMFG. No he did not! He did it justice if it was on trial for something and found guilty of a horrible crime. I didn't even think it was possible for Beth to sound emotionless. But if you want all the feeling sucked out of a song and replaced with vocal preening, Lambert's your guy. Other than that though, it was cheesy and bad.

C-Lebrity video:
Adam: "My bandmates... Roger and... what's the name of the guitarist?"
Ouch. That hurts.

Wasn't Kris Allen (aka "the other guy from Idol") the one who sang "Beth" and not Lambert?
At least that's what I recall from seeing their performance with Queen and Kiss in the Season finale of Idol.

Yeah, Roger was pretty terrible, but I guess I can forgive them for that since they had a disclaimer at the beginning (Featuring the world's worst Roger Taylor impression!). John wasn't very good either, though, but Brian was pretty excellent! Good video overall. But...wtf is up with the end? Did Roger decide the Queen thing had gone too far and decided to just end it all? That's...kind of dark.
