Hi guys... I have a little question: the Killer Queen at Top of the pops video from Box of flix is DIFFERENT from the one on Greatest Video Hits dvd, I have never noticied... the last "guaranteed to blow your mind" at 2.28 is with the left hand by Freddie on Box of flix and with the RIGHT hand on Greatest Video Hits dvd... and even the guitar solo is mimed differently by Brian, is it a different (but very similar) take right? Thanks! :-)

Don't want to sound cocky, but I thought that was common knowledge?
Ah. The things that get lost in the midst of time...

Wow. Queen Productions have NO IDEA what resourcefulness they're resting on here.
One super fan dismissive of another's alleged discovery!...snobbism at its best!
INCREDIBLE!!!
If they don't utilize the talent, obsession and dilligence of this sordid crew, they really don't deserve the regeneration they are wishing for.
Incredible!

Two filmed recordings were made back in December 1974 by the BBC for TOTP for this particular appearance. These were done on the same day one after the other. This was often done for films clips that did not include an audience (as this one does not) and gave the option of using varying camera shots and angles that could be edited together to form one final version. In this case both edits have been used.

Very interesting, I'd never noticed this before! Though, rather than being on film, I believe they would have been videotaped.

In the first few seconds, Fred finger taps on the microphone before he slides his hand up and on the other Killer Queen video he omits the finger tap.

Same reason it took until about 2010 for the difference between the single and video version differences in "Who Wants To Live Forever" as well as the acknowledgement of a single mix version of "Save Me" to become proper widespread knowledge!

This has been talked about in here before.
Just the same as someone noticed that in one video Brian was playing his Red Special and in another he was playing a Gibson Les Paul or a White Fender strat.

Yeah I just assumed it was a known thing - the clips are both totally different takes.
