why do you think that Freddie - or indeed any of queen - would give a flying fuck about anyone anywhere covering their songs? freddie is quoted as defining himself as being a "musical prostitute" - that implies he'll do anything for his art, and - more importantly - he's happy to take the money

At first, it was basically all falsetto, which, although not something I would want to listen to very much, is an interesting spin on the song. Then he starts trying to sound like an actual singer and I realized that that voice is whiny as hell. People in the comments on YouTube are trying to defend him by saying that he shouldn't try to be Freddie Mercury, and while that's true (if you cover a song trying to sound exactly like the original recording, you're really stupid), at least try to make it sound decent!
