Hi, it's me again. I took a look at my audience recordings collection - I couldn't believe, it's gone. I have recorded some of the recordings on CDs, but the 1979 ones have never been recorded on any CD.

In May of the last year, I uploaded 1977-86 recordings to a Ukrainian file-sharing website. I lost almost all of these recordings back in February, as the website had been closed for piracy (just like Megaupload) and the servers had been removed.
I haven't got my stuff ever since, but the 1979 recordings were left untouched at the time. So I also did look at the website, and it's not on the lists.

It's absent on my computer as well.

I'm very sorry for that. I just don't know where it could have gone. I shall check again but I doubt something will be found.

No worries !

Don't ever rely on a website to store your data. Buy some Japanese-made DVD-Rs and usb sticks, and have an off-site backup (i.e. at someone else's house) on an external hard drive. Having several copies will make things bulletproof.
