I bet they're going to play Escape From The Swamp.

Lets just hope it's not the timpani to accompany Chinese Torture. Hearing that four seperate time at the Q+PR shows in the US was enough.
Also, in regard to Bo Rhap. Would anyone really miss it? It's has become kind of stale watching the recording from Wembley with Freddie singing IMO. Personally, I'd prefer it to be preformed as an instrumental ala Jimmy Page's Outrider tour when he closed with Stairway. It would sound fresh & provide Brian with a chance to play some really interesting guitar in lieu of a lead vocal.
Just my own personal thoughts from Wilmington, DE.

Queen have always been about the songs, so Bo Rhap will always be performed as such.
Jimmy Page on a solo tour, having written Stairway had the freedom to play that song as he wished. When Led Zep played the o2 they played it as usual.
Bo Rhap was written by Freddie and is one of Queens best known songs. As such I can't see BM and RT playing a Queen show and not playing it. Maybe out side the confines of the name of the band BM would feel more able to play an instrumental version of Bo Rhap, but I some how doubt he ever would.

I agree with Vocal harmony. However you can never tell what queen will come up with next. They went from Paul Rogers to Adam Lambert. Very big jump from the pair if you ask me. But they have both been talented and well educated to music, even if Adam is in to that 'let's follow this niche' stage, feels a little like he hasn't got his own mind for music, he jumps on everyone else's music or has to follow the sheep...
Just my honest opinion anyways.

I dont think they'll change it up either. I'm just thinking out loud. It would be a nice change from the expected. It would certainly have people talking.

They're using Budapest footage of freddie! So that's the confirmation the blu-ray is genuine.
Calm down people. We still have absolutely NO official information.
We'll get Budapest this October. It's for sure.

When you say something is 'for sure', it's generally because you've got some evidence or at least logical backing. And this rehearsal stuff's looking pretty nice.

Now that the new Queen liveshow is only a couple of days away..
I have been browsing Queen video material chronologically in my spare time lately. Mainly focusing on what happened during 1987 -> 1997 with Queen members.
There are a lots of interesting clips and bits in the net... like Roger Taylor drunk or in cocaine during 1988 interview with cross. It's fun and nice to do a certain type of reconstruction of what was happening with them and with the band at that point...
I came across with the legendary tribute concert in 1992 and thought that Brian, Roger and John were still really in their prime on this. They all seemed to be in a really good playing shape and very energetic with the performances...maybe not like in 1981, but still..

Now then. They were not really playing a lot after this. Especially Roger, who did some solo work but it was occasional and he didnt play drums much after all.
When you look at them now:

It clearly shows that lifestyle, partying and not playing too much drums have unfortunately got dear old Roger a bit. He has become a little bit grandaddish.
I mean at the 1992 tribute he is 45 years or something...with right lifestyle and playing a lot he wouldnt have changed too much...look at Brian. He doens't seem to age so much in 20 years.
I dont't even know why I'm bringing this up :-)
But I guess it's just a bit shame that Roger who is my hero, didn't really use his drumming skills to full between these years. He really does look great for 45:ish on that Tribute Concert....
Lets see what saturday holds for us.

I guess he went a while without drumming much when you think about it. I don't think Brian looks like he's aged (physically) any less than Roger though.
