So they're showing Queen's top 40 songs on MTV right now and I've just noticed a real Spinal Tap moment in Who Want to Live Forever (a video I haven't watched in about 10 years). When Brian's doing his guitar solo he is sitting in the middle of an orchestra and in the middle of the solo he leans forward to turn the page on some sheet music as if he's reading from it. For some reason it reminds me a lot of the moment in Spinal Tap when Nigel Tuffnel tunes the violin he's using as a plectrum to play his electric guitar.
Anyway, carry on ... ;)

Ha. That is the best. I don't think I have seen that video, ever. Makes me wonder how many other ones I haven't noticed I haven't seen.

@Holly...I really am glad you posted that. It made me seek out the video and it's nice that there are still some surprises out there for me, even hiding in plain sight. :)

Are you kidding? Half the Spinal Tap movie was based on the exploits of a certain band we all know and love. Except of course the hilarious decilne of the band that Queen thankfully never had to go through. Although, if the Tap ever make a new movie it will probably include collaborating with a very glam gay crooner.

Best part for WWTLF is Roger's commentary. Actually the best part of every Queen DVD commentary is Roger Taylor commentary. I wish my life was accompanied by Roger Taylor commentary.

My favourite Queen bit from a a video is the 'No No No No No No No' bit from Bo Rhap where Roger misses his cue and is just about to start laughing before the camera cuts away....

This is so cool. I've never had a personal shopper before. Okay, I'll take one of those, some microwave popcorn and a couple of Mars bars. I'll also need a home security system, and a handgun. And if you could please fax your picture to my local police station that will save some time.
PS I am positive I can totally get out of the trunk of a car, so don't even bother trying.

There was loads of Spinal Tap last night. Unintentional, for sure.
